khabib stripped: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
At khabib, we’ve been stripping out the noise from our home for a little while now. It’s so loud, you’d think that some sort of disease had taken hold and we were losing our brains. I’ve had to hire a few extra workers who just got here so that they could make the space a little bit more quiet.
The noise problem is a big one for khabib. After all, one of the features of a large space is that you can have a lot of noise. Even when you strip out all of the noise it still sounds weird, especially at night. We also have to be very careful with the way we do it though, because if we are too loud then we will make noise at night. We want the noise to be minimal but still present.
Even when we are using a very quiet space we still have to be aware of the fact that it is hard to get the right balance of noise and silence between the rest of the space. There is a lot of noise in a large space, and if we are using it for too long it will start to sound really loud. The solution to this is to strip it down as much as possible.
khabib was originally the last person in our team to be working on it, but he got bored and decided to take time off. Once khabib is gone, we have to start over again from scratch.
One of the biggest problems with space is sound. To keep things sounding the way they should, we have to strip it of all the extraneous noise, which can be difficult. For example, if we strip the sound of a blender, we end up with a blender that basically sounds exactly the same as the blender you buy at the grocery store.
Sound is a big part of the game because it gives the game life. It’s how we convey motion. It’s also how we represent other objects in the game. In this case, we’ve stripped it of all the sounds, so we’ve created a new game that is all about moving. The sounds of a blender, for instance, are going to be replaced with the sounds of a space elevator.
In khabib, the sound of a blender is gone. In the sequel, weve gone even further in that weve replaced its actual sound with the sounds of space. The sounds of a blender, as it turns out, are so great because they remind us of the sound of things that aren’t moving.
In khabib, objects, such as a blender, are replaced with the sounds of their movement. So the sounds from a blender are replaced with the sound of a blender coming to a halt. In the sequel, weve gone even further in that weve replaced the blender with the sounds of a blender coming to a halt.
This sound seems to be a natural extension of khabib’s theme, but it’s a lot more effective as a sound. The sound of a blender coming to a halt is not as effective, because the sound of a blender coming to a halt is a sound that is in a blender. Whereas the sound of the blender coming to a halt is a sound that is in a blender, but is not coming to a halt.
