I love to eat and drink and feel good about myself. But no matter how much I’ve worked out, I still can’t seem to get skinny. It’s just not possible. My diet is a struggle. I want to lose weight, but I’m not getting anywhere near it. A few years ago, I started reading an article about a woman who lost 700 pounds and kept it off. Her name was Elizabeth Holmes.
She is a 300 pound woman, but she was a beautiful, talented, and kind woman. She started off very overweight, but even though she was fat, she was still kind and talented. She kept her weight off despite her own self-doubt, but it took her seven years. Elizabeth Holmes is one of those people who reminds me of my grandmother, a really sweet and kind person.
Holmes was a very special person in life. She is an activist, and her weight loss was due to an effort to reduce her cholesterol level. Her efforts lead to her getting a heart stent in her first pregnancy. When the child was born, Holmes was six weeks pregnant with her second child. She was so exhausted, she had to take a nap and go to bed. The following day, she went to work and was very exhausted.
So she began a weight-loss program consisting of many classes and lots of eating. She managed to lose some weight, but her heart was still very weak and she developed heart issues later. Holmes was a very strong and determined woman who always made sure to eat right. She kept a journal of her eating habits that she would often share with family and friends.
The idea of Holmes eating “right” is so much more appealing than the idea of her eating “wrong.” Holmes is a woman who seems to have very strong opinions about food, and not just about food. She was a very passionate advocate of a healthy diet, and even went so far as to eat a diet prescribed by a doctor. Holmes ate a lot of red meat, and was known to take a lot of fish.
This is a bit of a tangent, but I was recently at a party and a very large woman was talking to me. She had a lot of weight to lose, and she was talking about how being obese was a bad thing. She had a lot of weight she wanted to lose, and she was talking about how we should all be more active and less overweight. That’s when I realized her diet was a lot more like mine than her family’s was.
Obesity is a common problem in America (especially in the South) and it can have a terrible impact on a person. People who are overweight are more likely to have other health problems including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and sleep apnea. And I am talking about you folks that have a body fat percentage of 30 or higher.
I know what you are thinking. You are thinking how could this woman be eating 300 pounds of food a day, and she is. I know that its a lot to ask and a lot to expect from anyone, but its still a lot to ask for. It would be nice if we could all gain more weight than we currently do but we can’t all live in the same house.
Well, I guess we could all live in the same house, but that is not how we live. The difference between a life with a lot of excess weight and a life without is that the ones that have a lot of excess weight tend to eat a lot of junk food. The ones that don’t gain weight from excess food tend to eat healthy foods.
This comes across in the current trailer. We see a 300 pound woman who lives in a mansion and is very generous with her money. It seems like she could use some money, but she also has a lot of excess weight and so she likes to eat a lot of junk food. What a difference a little extra fat makes.
